Ivy laundry
Ingredients for 2 liters of detergent :
80 g climbing ivy
2 liters of water
25 drops of essential oil of your choice (optional, I like lavender for its anti-moth and lice properties)
Material :
basin or salad bowl
scissors
saucepan that can hold 2 L of boiling liquid + lid
strainer
funnel
ladle
glass bottles

Pick 100 climbing ivy leaves (about 80 g)
Rinse them
Cut them into small pieces
Place them in 2 liters of water
Heat with a lid and let 15 minutes from boiling
Turn off the heat and leave covered for 24 hours
Remove the bulk of the leaves by pressing to extract all the water
Filter and bottle
You can add 25 drops of the essential oil of your choice

I put this detergent in the usual bin and add white vinegar to the fabric softener reservoir. Laundry may smell strong, but there is no odor left on the laundry and it comes out quite clean.
